An introduction to Mr.Noire

Mr. Noire's magic shop

You look at a sign with the words "Mr. Noire's Shop of Magic" displayed on it. You walk inside to see grey walls lined with shelves bearing assorted magical items. You continue to walk around seeing thousands, if not hundreds, of items from an uncountable amount of regions. You spot a door labeled "laser animals". You look inside to see what looks like a rave. Footsteps behind you make you turn. But no one was there. "Howdie there.", a voice echoes out throughout the shop. The voice has a southern drawl to it along with a sing songy tone. You turn to see a well dressed man, seemingly composed of a shadow. "I'm Mr. Noire. Sorry for the delay in service. What can I get ya?" You gesture towards the laser animals area. You notice Mr. Noire already has a laser kitten in his hand. "Interdimensional Laser Kitten. One to go! Free for your first visit here!" Mr. Noire said, putting the kitten into your hands. Minus the laser eyes being able to blind you by looking at them, it's pretty cute. "Wear these." Mr. Noire said, before putting sunglasses on you and nudging you towards the door. You stumble a bit with one of the nudges and walk out of the wagon. Mr. Noire laughs before walking into the breakroom. "Another satisfied customer.", he laughs.

 Off-Duty Meeting I walked down the street before spying Rosa entering her favorite coffee shop. I followed her slipping in-between people before finding my way through the entrance.   Seer's memories  A figure stood in a void that twinkled softly like thousands of stars were around him, cloaked in a grey robe, a blue scarf blowing in a non existent wind. They seemed entirely involved in whatever they were doing. You approach him and gently tug on the scarf causing them to look at you. "Yes?", he asked lowering a screen. My first musing

Thoughts At the beginning of life, from, conception we are dealt a hand, be it from a well off hand, or one that could not win against the most incompetent player. You are familiar with tarot cards, yes? All 78 in a deck. Fool, Emperor, Death, or the jester. From birth we are all the fool, a being of unlimited possibilities, able to grow up to be anything we desire. As we age we can change what card or arcana we belong to. However, the thought of life being on rails has occurred to me. The fear of life being an unchangeable series of events, and everything is coded into our life story. That every trial and effort to change our path, is just a curve in our set destination. Much like a railroad, every attempt to be different is just a spin or turn in our path. While the destination doesn’t change, our means of getting there change. Of course, I’d be remiss to forget to mention the ultimate destination of all life, death.
